Principal's Welcome :)

Dear Parents/Guardians:

It is with great pleasure that I welcome new and returning students, families, and staff to St. Hubert School.  This school year promises to be a year filled with academic learning, faith development, and personal growth for all our students. Together, our staff at St. Hubert School will work diligently to provide students with learning experiences that they will remember for years to follow.

St. Hubert School is a JK to Grade 8 school with approximately 200 students. We are located in North Bay, near Algonquin Avenue and St. Joseph’s Catholic Secondary High School. A Lindsay Weld daycare facility for before and after school care is also available at our location.

The school currently has seven regular classrooms, a Special Education Resource classroom, and a Learning Assistance classroom.  I am also very pleased to announce the addition of our system Music, Family Studies, and Design and Technology classes to our school. Our team of approximately 30 professionals offer a variety of teaching strategies linked to the Ontario curriculum. Our dedicated staff frequently engage in professional development that is in accordance with our School Improvement Plan and Ministry of Education initiatives.

St. Hubert school is equipped with a variety of technologies including mobile labs (Apple, Chrome Books, and PC), SMART Boards, and iPads. There is also a sensory room to support the needs of our students. The sensory room is a resource to support our students in developing learning readiness skills.

Parents and guardians are always invited and encouraged to become involved in the school community.  We invite you to volunteer or join our Parent Council. Your support, both in respect to your child’s education and the development of the school community at large, is always welcomed and appreciated.

Thank you for choosing Catholic Education.  Our staff is blessed to be involved in the special role of being both your child’s educator and spiritual partner. We look forward to this journey together.  At St. Hubert School, we strive to meet the individual needs of all students entrusted to our care within a nurturing Catholic learning environment. We are determined to provide all students with an education rooted in our Catholic faith and to prepare them to be lifelong learners.

I am very excited about the new school year ahead of us. I look forward to working with all of you. Should you have any questions, concerns, or comments please do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail at [email protected] or at the school at 705-472-2770.

Peace,

Mrs. E. Carreiro
